What information is appropriately placed in the appendices of a document?

The appendices should be reserved for background information, detailed results, and analyses which support the specific conclusions and recommendations presented in the main body of the report.

Do not make the appendices a dumping ground for unnecessary information. Include only specific information that might be needed to help the reader(s) of the document understand the approach, analyses, results, conclusions, and recommendations presented. All other background information should be placed in a backup file.
