Why should I buy an online
course from KCI?
Here are several good reasons!
Help with
Internet-Based Programs
- I'm having problems logging in. What could be
the problem?
The most likely reasons why students can't log in are listed below.
- The login is case sensitive, and you may not be using the correct upper and lower case designations in your user ID or password.
- You are at the wrong URL for the course for which you are registered. Try this:
Go to the Student LogIn page; enter your user name and password. If this fails or you don't know which course you are registered for, contact Louise DeMoux.
- Your registration expired! Passwords expire when your registration expires.
If none of these solutions solves your problem, contact Louise DeMoux at ldemoux@kcitraining.com.
- Why doesn't the program save my answers
in the exercises or unit reviews?
Indeed, the program doesn't save the answers once you leave the page. This is designed so participants can redo quizzes or exercises if they wish. However, you can print your work by going to the File menu and choosing Print.
- How do I know you are receiving my
work? Where do I stand in the course?
You won't hear from us when you submit a unit exercise
or review. However, our computer system does keep tabs on this
information; and we can look it up any time.
For your convenience, we are currently redesigning our program so you can follow your progress. We are creating a progress bar that will show what you have completed and what you still need to do.
As to where you stand, we don't grade your work. We provide feedback on your final document only, unless you specifically request feedback on exercises or on earlier drafts. Our written feedback will provide you with
information on strong and weak areas in your writing, sections
you should review, and where your document needs revision. If you
want to talk to your instructor, feel free at any time to contact Louise DeMoux
at ldemoux@kcitraining.com.
- Can I get a paper copy of the course for
reference?
Yes, if you want to pay for it. You can check on the cost of a paper copy by going to our Training Materials section.
Students do not have access to both a paper-based version and an internet version. If you prefer to do the paper-based version, contact us at the start of the course; and we will send you one.
- I turned in my paper a while ago and haven't
heard anything. What's up?
We
may not have received it. This is rare, but if you haven't heard
back from us within five working days, please contact Louise at
ldemoux@kcitraining.com.
